I studied about the "computer games".pain station, computer games.Sherry Turkle on computer games and processes of identificationHenry Jenkins on computer games, gender and space. Many things in a game engine. For example, a game engine includes graphics, physics, A.I and a lot more. They construct the game. However, it is not true that the game players always like that is already made by programmer. The game players want to have their own, they want to express their personality. So they modify the game to what they want. For example, modify the character, clothes, color, etc. We saw the examples with pong How the people modified the games. What makes a good game ? play? story? realism? or something else? It can be changed by player's identification. But usually people say that the popular game is good game.We learned that people make media and then media make people. Computer games are also a media. So computer games influence people's identity especially with gender. The games which boys like and the games which girls like is not same. Computer games also influence constituting human's identity.

-Computer Aid-CAD - CAMBefore these didn't come out we have to draw in person with a pencil.Drugs part - Nowadays they developed the structure of drugs with 3D.computer can make time saved.EX) In germany , Volkswagen.they make the city village of making cars.Surgery - In case of operation they use the computer and make correct. In case of spaceship we don't have to calculate the path or orbit.Instead of us computer do that.surveillancelanguage action model.conversation model.they apply those to organization. In wedding ------------->oath- not word.->continue to perform action. In case of messenger we can delete our taliking partner. In Structure of Rulling they can put the center and surveillance .so we can make our workk more efficent.Socialogy is kind of some communication between the people.Center - easy to accessADSL - synchronizer- they can upload and download.Wipi - google lanched.second life - designed like a actual life.media make peple. so we can be influenced by media.we leaned about why the professor's office is located at fifth .why main office is located at first.Private space is our room in our home.Centralize - control-> surveillance.history1791 - inveted the efficient way to watch prisoners. there is a conrol towel.hospitalEnlightment --- how do we thinksociety has to be transparent.there should no dark side. Infact give up essential liberty or efficienty.-everybody can be surveilled by someone-Grammar for actions.how they commnucate with workers when we make computer games.E-mail-->object of surveillance. we can know by connecting as a administrator.Longtime ago surveillance system - used by the intention to make work efficent.nowadays surveillance system - used by the intention to steal the private information.we will learned about the opinion at the work with computergame.

human-computer interaction-point- People often interact with media technologies as though the technologies were people.related ideas1. Clifford and Nash, “the media equation”2. Freud, transference–see also Sherry Turkle on computers as “second selves” and as “evocative objects”3. surrealists, “automatic writing” (recall Tristan Tzara’s “recipe”)4. Mannheim/Schutz/Garfinkel, the “documentary method”there are three parts of the related pointhow should we treat technologies~~~.how should we treat ohters? -1. like us2. radically differentwhat makes believe someone or something is alive, thinking, or simply the same as us?questions of aesthetics, goals and intentionsdo objects, technologies and natural phenomena have goals and intentions?or, do they just look like they have goals and intentions?it is a little bit confusing.1. If we view objects, technologies and natural phenomenon as if they do, in fact, have goals and intentions, then we will design like an artificial intelligence researcher2. If we view objects, technologies and natural phenomenon as if the just look like they have goals and intentions, then we will design like a tool builder for human “users” or “operators” ofour tools.as we learned history of HCI as tools : people.(people)Vannevar Bush: memexJ.C.R. The main ideas behind it are set out in his book "Studies in EthnomethodologyEthnomethodology differs from other sociological perspectives in one very important respectEthnomethodologists assume that social order is illusory. They believe that social life merely appears to be orderly; in reality it is potentially chaotic. For them social order is constructed in the minds of social actors as society confronts the individual as a series of sense impressions and experiences which she or he must somehow organize into a coherent pattern.-Lucy Suchmanshe is one of the primary people working in the fields of participatory design (pd) and computer-supported cooperative workHow do people make sense of the world????---------->!!“documentary method"!!The method consists of treating an actual appearance as ‘the document of,’ as ‘pointing to,’ as ‘standing on behalf of’ a presupposed underlying pattern. The method is recognizable for the everyday necessities of recognizing what a person is ‘talking about’ given that he does not say exactly what he means, or in recognizing such common occurrences and objects as mailmen, friendly gestures, and promisescONcULSION- As for that I could learn the new terminology.- documentary method and Ethnomethodology. but its a little bit difficult for me to understand. so i'm tying to configure them

In this week, we learned about 'Artificial Intelligence'.We knew a person, Alan Turing, who was known as founder of computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematician, philosopher, codebreaker, and a gay man.He dead early by suicide but he leave many works. one of them is imitation game.It is game to guess sex by only text. The result is exciting. No one predicts his/her sex only text. Turing thinks man acquired sex by environment. He says that gender. Gender is changed anytime. The second imitation game is that. Who is man or machine by text as before . The result is same too. So he thinks that Can MACHINE do think??Marvin Minsky define AI as the science of making machines do things that would require intelligence as if done by humans.AI have many research areas : Knowledge Representation,Programming Languages,Natural Language (e.g., Story) Understanding,Speech Understanding, Vision, Robotics, Machine Learning, Planning etc.AI is planning as a technical problem. GPS is what is known in AI as a “planner.” GPS required that a full and accurate model of the “state of the world” AI planning have a problem. Because it was always accurate and that all of the significant details of the world could be modeled and followed, it was incorporated into most AI programs for decades and resulted in what became known to the AI community as the “frame problem"problems with story generation is missing common sense. for example Schizophrenia can be dis-functional.ELIZA is A Computer Program for the Study of Natural Language Communication between Man and Machine, by J. Weizenbaum.

April 1st homework

this month is start of real spring. and i wrote my homework freshly.

this weak we read the opinion and waw media.

barry wellman, computer networks as social networks
danah boyd, friendster and publicly articulated social networking
ze frank, small world [video]

i always think myself. i don't read carefully assignment. actually when i was read the assignment so difficult to me . somethime's very easy assignment is read and understood quickly. so this weak assignment was very easy to me.

recently we having a own computer and blog or cyworld. and cyworld system is coreect for this weak subject.

today's 화두 is connecting. human making with social socieaty. if human living a alone world he is not a human like a intellectual animal.

When technologies connect or separate people, they become media. past computer technologies is just programing and programing and play game alone. however technology is improve we use internet every body people. and express own feeling and other's feeling talking about deeply. like a real space. and 2000's era people make a own homepage's and 2004'~ and present. people use a myspace and cyworld.

own hompage and cyworld is same system but few diffrent. cyworld has a line of personal contact. cyworld make a system ' 1촌. 1촌 means a line of personal contact. people make a 1촌 and group other's homepage's. finally making a line of personal contact group gradually. look at the down picture. it like a real space.

New media technologies usually reinforce existing social networks or even work to isolate people.
isolated people making a cywolrd and going many time . this people making a many cyber space people. finally this people having a cyber space toxicosis . and not dividing real space and cyber space. technologies giving a many merit for us . however technologies holic is very danger. however cyberspace is seeing perfect. we are not npc . we are the human. many pople take care of next people.~!

This week’s main subject was WWW (: World Wide Web). WWW is the one we are always using when doing the Internet. ex)www.daum.net & www.naver.com . we use many www URL. We use it almost everyday but we don’t actually know what exactly WWW is. As we know this week learning.

WWW is a collaboratively authored hypertext, a standard and it is a vast, heterogeneous network of people and machines. WWW was made of collaboration of people. When doing research, Most important thing is fund. So, Leader's most important mission is supported by other people or organization etc. In that case I think that leader have to know economic. WWW is standard. and We have so many standard. Why we make a standard. Standard is possible a collaboration writing. And I think it was economical. So many organization is wrote and influence standard. WWW is connect vast people and machine. WWW is made a global village.Uri is a identifier. So we used this rules find web page.Web is so many standard and rules. And this is comfortable to us

BUT I DON'T know this form of URL : our study homepage URL is http://intermass.com/it081/.
this is not have WWW. WWW is just a standard form? I'm very curious.

but in this march we start a classes i know one point. this common point is technology is a promise an engagement of every earth people. few country is not achievement technology.
this phenomenon will be cure for time. (I'm an optimist.)
before i hear the class our ip address is exhaust. this will be cure.

we live in web 2.0 era . 2.0era use www appointment . but this is very old form. it is easy to hacking. so we inventing a new appointment.

this week we have 1 class . so we have know few information . but i'm very interesting friday's study. this week homework are read two opinion . I read ted nelson's article and engelbart's article this week. acutually i dont't know them. but today we learned hypertext is so easy.
i read a two opinion and are i impressed ted nelson's article. this weak summary and my opinion is talking about ted nelson's article hyper text.

Hypertext is new form of writing, reading and thinking. Now, This is very useful. similiar WWW(World Wide Web).sometimes i think no exists Internet in the world. this is very important for internet a speedway like hypertext. hypertext is like a Professor told about dadaists( Da·da·ist〔〕 n. 허무주의예술가, 다다이스트a. 다다이스트의)for explaining the Hypertext. Dadaist's poem is defferent plain poem. very strange i think. dadaists peom is abstract a word in a random boxes. simply progress is They are cut some words from newspapers or books etc. and Those are shaked. and one thing, other things extract.

i think making a poem the progress is very difficult. and we saw 3 cf. 3cf has common point they repeat same word. again and again . but i don't understand this things relatives hypertext. but i feel so good. because actually i'm interested in cf , movie, etc.... . so we saw old cf's very interesting.

two thinks joint is very dificult to me. but my opinion is same . last weak i think technologhy is made and revolution this means. Technologies are very rapidly growth. but human's intellect is not followed. So inventer's made mouse, and monitor and memex system.

20c's concept of memex is just a daydream. but 21c's memex is realization ubiquatous system. also hypertext system is veey old idea. but i think Steven Spielberg's Minority Report's we see new keyboard system. last 21c's we may be see new hypertext system. using human's mind.
